Context

Climate change is already having adverse effects on populations worldwide. As climate change progresses, it’s expected that communities will continue to face challenges, including being forced to migrate due to volatile conditions. And this, in turn, may disrupt or permanently erode access to quality care.

The Idea

Build resilience into our “right to health” systems, creating healthcare tools and resources that withstand changing conditions from climate change and the challenges they posed for global populations.

About the Project

Any tools and resources that bring us closer to quality healthcare must be designed to be resilient and responsive in the face of climate change. Together with a community that is at-risk for climate change related disasters, we are developing a collaborative tool that assesses the impact of the disaster on a population’s right to health—to build preparedness as a priority into current and future right to health endeavors.
