Context

COVID-19 has exposed many weaknesses and shortcomings in the everyday operations of our daily lives—and that includes healthcare. The pandemic has shed light on significant health inequities globally, and revealed longstanding patterns that keep people from caring for their health. With many countries fluctuating between lockdown and re-opening status, we have an opportunity to examine social determinants of health—and health equity principles.
